Fórsa Free Helplines and Services

Fórsa members can avail of our free helplines for counselling, legal advice and support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, at no additional cost to the member, through the following helplines.

Legal help in bodily injury cases:

We will negotiate for an insured person’s legal rights following a specific or sudden accident which causes the death of, or bodily injury to them. This includes assisting the insured person to register their claim with the PIAB.

Legal advice helpline

We will give an insured person confidential legal advice over the phone on any personal legal problem. Specialist advice is provided 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays. If calls are made outside these times, we will call the insured person back.

Confidential counselling helpline:

Confidential counselling service over the phone if they are aged 18 years or over (or aged between 16 and 18 and in full-time employment) including onward referral to relevant services. Includes services for their immediate family who permanently lives with them.

Home incidents advice helpline:

Domestic Assistance Service if help is needed to cope with a domestic emergency (such as fire, flood, broken windows etc) affecting an insured person’s home. The insured person is responsible for all call-out charges and repair costs.

Health and medical information service: 0818 254164

Information service on health and fitness, and non-diagnostic advice on medical matters. Advice can be given on allergies, the side-effects of drugs and how to improve general fitness. Health and medical information is provided by qualified nurses 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday, excluding public and bank holidays. If you call outside these times, a message will be taken and a return call arranged within the operating hours.

Identity theft helpline:

We will provide an insured person with detailed guidance and advice over the phone about being or becoming a victim of identity theft.

The helpline is open 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday. We do not provide a call back service for this helpline if you call outside of the operating hours.
